Consultancy

Chris Carrigan is an experienced and nationally recognised senior leader, with a career in health informatics and data, committed to, and driven by, the fundamental principles of patient partnership, inclusivity, recognition of expertise, and a focus on the needs of current and future patients.

Chris has significant experience in influencing national policy in medical informatics and research and has a respected national profile in leading patient and public engagement exercises. In 2014 Chris was named as one of the Health Service Journal's Top 50 Innovators in the NHS for his work with cancer patients and the use of their data, one of the major achievements of the National Cancer Intelligence Network (NCIN), which Chris launched and led for eight years.

Chris previously worked in the commercial sector for 10 years as technical consultant with a range of IT and consultancy companies in the healthcare market, finance and cancer information, including extensive experience of systems and process implementation.

Web Development and Analytics

Extensive experience of web development, data, informatics and data visualisation.

We provide web and support services for the use MY data patient movement and several other small, not for profit or community enterprises.

For smaller charities, patient, voluntary and community groups, work can be undertaken on a no-cost basis (see Pro Bono work).

Advocacy

A strong and nationally recognised background in the inclusion of patients in the uses of patient data stretching back many years, together with a fundamental philosophy of partnership and openness.

Provides advice and information to patients and other groups about health data, with a particular focus on cancer data. Strong supporter of an active and engaged patient voice which is truly listened to, and active in several areas of patient engagement activity, including the use MY data patient/carer movement.

A firm belief in patients being given the information they need to make a truly informed choice about the use of their data.

Pro Bono work

Chris Carrigan is a specialist in cancer data, information and web design but with a particular focus on true patient involvement and patient power around the open, fair and transparenct uses of data for patient benefit. He is the Expert Data Adviser to use MY data , a movement of patients, relatives and carers. use MY data aims to harness the patient voice to build confidence in the use of patient data to save lives and improve outcomes.

Chris was a founding member of use MY data in 2015 and continues as Expert Data Adviser.

use MY data is a movement of patients, relatives and carers, harnessing the patient voice to build confidence in the use of patient data to save lives and improve outcomes. It is the only independent patient movement in the UK focused on patient data

We provide trading services for use MY data, allowing contracts and grants to be administered within the legal entity of Lodge Moor Consulting.

Our trading as use MY data operates on a strict not for profit basis, with all funds spent entirely on use MY data activities, including supporting patients to take part in patient-related activity in areas concerned with the uses of patient data.
